Dragons braced for O’Connell challenge

Newport Gwent Dragons Director of Rugby Lyn Jones has put his faith in the team that beat Glasgow Warriors last weekend, by naming the same side to face Munster at Rodney Parade this evening.

Full back Dan Evans is named alongside winger Will Harries and blindside wing Matthew Pewtner.

The centre pairing of Pat Leach and Ross Wardle makes another appearance for the third time this season. Last weekend’s man of the match, Jason Tovey, keeps his place at fly half and international scrum half Richie Rees is also named.

In the forwards, Owen Evans, Sam Parry and Francisco Chaparro make up the front row. Young gun Cory Hill and Rob Sidoli tackle the second row with Sidoli again taking on the responsibility of skipper.

The back row is made up of Lewis Evans, Nic Cudd and number eight Netani Talei.

Jones saw his Dragons side earn a superb away win over Glasgow last Friday night but with Ireland lock Paul O’Connell back for table-topping Munster, they face a tough ask to make it back-to-back wins.

O’Connell starts just his second PRO12 game of the season while South African winger Gerhard van den Heever will make his debut. Keith Earls, James Downey and Ian Keatley all return from injury with Billy Holland captaining the side at Rodney Parade.
