The Dragons kicked-off their campaign with a 28-15 away win over Cardiff Blues. Wing Ethan Clayden launched the victory march at the Arms Park with a try after only three minutes.

That try was improved by Will Reed, but the Blues hit back with a Josh Phillips penalty and a try from Aneuran James to grab the lead. The score remained 8-7 at half-time before three second half tries from the Dragons saw them home.

Scrum half Dylan Davies, full back Jake Morgan and hooker Brodie Coghlan crossed and Reed converted all three. The Blues edged back in front at 15-14 with a try from Theo Cabango which was converted by Roberts.
