Five players remain from the starting line-up which featured in the 36-28 win against Ireland on Wednesday: Louis Rees-Zammit, who scored a brace of tries against the Irish; Man of the Match Teddy Williams in the second row; fullback Ioan Lloyd; outside centre Joe Roberts; and flanker Olly White, who moves to openside from number six.

Wales coach Chris Horsman said of the wholesale changes to the team: “I want everyone to get as much game time as possible. We want to finish on a high. Italy have come on leaps and bounds with their age-grade – we found that out with the U20s this year.”

Both sides are in a rich vein of form going into tomorrow’s match, with Italy producing the shock result of the tournament when they beat England on Wednesday at the Arms Park.

“They look like one of, if not the best team in this competition this year and that’s a great credit to their coaches,” said Horsman. “It will be a great challenge for our boys.”

Supporters coming to the Arms Park tomorrow can also enjoy Ireland v Scotland (12:00) and France v England (17:00). Tickets are available on the gate: £5 adults, U16s free.
