Wing Adams made his international bow in the convincing 34-7 thrashing of the Scots in Cardiff.

Next up is Jones’ Red Rose side, but 22-year-old Worcester ace Adams is as relaxed as ever and eager to test himself against English opposition.

“It’s the first time I will have been to Twickenham. I’m expecting a sell-out because Wales-England is a massive game,” he said.

“It’s going to be a terrific atmosphere, but I’m just going to take it in my stride and treat it as another game.

“The boys have been training well this week and we are feeling confident we can really go up there and put pressure on England.

“You have to show respect to England, they have been playing some terrific stuff and they are arguably the form team in the northern hemisphere.”

Adams and Wales made an early tournament statement against Scotland, head coach Warren Gatland naming an unchanged side for his team’s second game.

It means Adams keeps his place with George North among the replacements.

“It’s good to keep the same continuity so morale is quite high in camp and we are looking forward to the challenge at Twickenham on Saturday,” Adams said.

“It’s good to keep the same 15 because I think we had some strong interplay last week.

“Reflecting on the Scotland game there are loads and loads of positives we can take from it. We played some good rugby and we stressed Scotland in defence.

“We’re looking to do the same thing on Saturday. I think defensively we were sound as a back line. There were one or two breaks down the edge, but that’s something we’ve corrected now.

“It’s going to be really important for us to come the blocks firing and try to get some early points. England are obviously dangerous with the ball in hand.”
