The Crawshay’s WRU President’s XV had to come from behind to record a 24-17 victory over Emerging Georgia at Rustavi Stadium yesterday afternoon.

The home side led 10-7 at the break with a try by Tom James, converted by Dai Langdon, keeping the Welsh side in the hunt.

At one stage the home side had edged in front 17-12 but the President’s XV showed grit and determination to strike back and claim the honours with two tries and a conversion in the last 15 minutes proving crucial.

Pontypridd duo Rhys Shellard and Dafydd Lockyer scored tries with the visitors also earning a penalty try which Langdon converted.
