The reigning champions have kicked off the new season with three consecutive defeats while the Scarlets remain unbeaten and at the top of the table.
Jones admits the Swansea-based region have failed to hit their usua heights but his side are determined to bounce back at Parc y Scarlets.
“There’s a lot of guys that have played in this jersey before who are probably thinking ‘what’s going on’ here at the moment,” said Jones.
“There has been a lot of quality players gone through this jersey over the last 10 years and I should imagine they will be looking at us with raised eyebrows at the moment.
“We definitely haven’t done the jersey proud so far this season as a team. There’s no hiding from that.
“A lot of it is our own fault. We are killing ourselves in large parts of it. We will be completely honest and put our hands up about that.
“You look at the Ulster game, we made 23 turnovers, 13 of them unforced. Normally we’d be happy with 10 forced.
“The last game against Glasgow, we had the territory and the possession, eight minutes in their 22, and we are still not coming away with anything really to show for it.
“There’s not a crisis, not a panic. It’s a case of fronting up and not just turning up. We are only going to get our own house together. It’s a simple game, we have just got to keep the ball.”
But the Wales second-row expects a fierce welcome from the red-hot Scarlets, who have raced in more tries than any other team in the competition this season.
“They’re a different proposition this season,” added Jones.
“The way they’re going, they’re definitely contenders for the title.
“It’s going to be tough going down there. We’re playing the top-of- the-table side at the bottom of the table. From the outside, it’s always going to be a big game for the fans and we have to represent that with the way we play this weekend.
“They’re a scalp for us and we’ll be a scalp for them — it will always be that way.”
The Ospreys could be boosted ahead of the clash by the return of Wales stars Adam Jones and Ryan Jones.
“There’s a chance. It’s more likely with Ryan than Adam,” said Ospreys forwards coach Jonathan Humpreys.
“There’s a chance they could play but both of them will definitely be back in the next couple of weeks.
“Hopefully Jonathan Thomas will be available, but James King is going to be a little while off.”
