Easterby ruled out for Quins clash

The Scarlets have suffered a major blow with inspirational skipper Simon Easterbury withdrawing from tomorrow’s Heineken Cup clash against Harlequins at the Stoop.

Due to illness the Irish backrower has had to pull out which has given youngster Josh Turnbull an opportunity to shine at blindside. The Newcastle Emlyn product is highly thought of at Parc y Scarlets. He came on against Stade Francais last Sunday in the Scarlets convincing victory and made his presence felt with several bone jarring tackles.

Turnbull’s place on the bench has been taken by scrum-half Sililo Martens with Stephen Jones taking over the captaincy.

DFP – Leaderboard

Harlequins have made a couple of changes with All Blacks flyhalf Nicky Evans switching from fly half to full back to give Chris Malone a starting berth at No 10.

Harlequins: N. Evans; T. Williams, G. Tiesi, J. Turner-Hall, U. Monye; C. Malone, D. Care; C. Jones, T. Fuga, M. Ross, J. Percival, G. Robson, C. Robshaw, N. Easter, W. Skinner (capt). Reps: C. Brooker, M. Lambert, J. Evans, T. Guest, J. Poluleuligaga, C. Amesbury, D. wet Barry
