The WRU’s 245 clubs and 18,500 debenture holders have met all the deadlines set for ticket applications for the forthcoming Millennium Stadium matches and have taken up their full allocation of tickets for those games – the highlights of the Six Nations season.
WRU Group Chief Executive Roger Lewis said: “It is a fantastic achievement to have sold out for both our home fixtures in the Six Nations. Those two games promise to be truly mouth-watering games, as all countries prepare for the World Cup in the autumn.
“We have hospitality packages on sale catering for every need but for those true Welsh fans who wish to purchase tickets for matches and events at the Millennium Stadium for many years to come, a debenture could be the perfect Christmas present for someone special. With the number of debenture holders soon to reach the 20,000 mark, this will be the last chance to buy debentures – there will be no further issue in the near future.”
Purchasing one of the 150 remaining debentures of the ‘125 Anniversary’ issue brings the right to purchase a ticket in a designated, middle tier seat at the Millennium Stadium for every WRU-hosted home match until 2030, when the £6,000 debenture fee is redeemable in full.
WRU debentures also give holders privileged early access to ticket sales for other events including FAW games, concerts and other events (with the agreement of the promoters).
