Wales U17 Squad Camp

The high-intensity weekend was designed to test the players with sessions on nutrition, fitness and psychology running alongside rugby-specific skills coaching.  With National Squad Assistant Coach, Jason Lewis and National Squad Player, Liza Burgess delivering demanding sessions, the calibre of the girls was tested to the full.

Sophie Bennett, WWRU National Academy Coordinator said “The level of talent on show was superb and the camp has allowed us to identify some talented players who will be looking to step up to the National Squad in time for the 2010 World Cup.”

The squad look forward putting their skills into practice when they meet again for a fixture in August.
