All three are relishing the chance to make a mark on the Rugby Europe Grand Prix Series, along with fellow squad member Gwen Crabb.

Cardiff Met second row Crabb has made a real impression since making her senior Wales debut last autumn and is now enjoying the new challenge of sevens.

“I’m really excited at the prospect of playing in my first major sevens tournament, I’m really enjoying the space you get in sevens.

“Preparations have gone well with training tournaments and camps, we’ve built up a good bond in camp and we can’t wait to get started.

“We’ve got such a mix of abilities and strengths within the squad like speed, power, ball skills and strength. It’s going to be a tough weekend but we’ve got to back ourselves and if we play to the best of our abilities, the results should come.”

In an amended schedule to account for the soaring heat in northern France, Wales play Belgium at 10.58 BST (11.58 local time) followed by hosts France at 16.47 BST and Netherlands at 19.10 BST
