Lucas De la Rua
The versatile Da La Rua is comfortable playing either side of the scrum or on the back of it at No 8.
He represented Wales at No 8 at Under 18 level and made his his Wales U20 debut as a replacement against England. He scored on his first start for Wales two weeks later on the flank against Italy in Treviso.
He had previously figured prominently for Cardiff & Vale College in the WRU National Schools & Colleges season where his side claimed the league and cup double.
The former Corpus Christi R.C. High School pupil has long been tipped as a star of the future. The Cardiffian is a real talent with his physicality, explosive carrying, ability over the ball, and his footballing ability marking de la Rua out as a star of the future.
He made his senior regional debut competitive debut for Cardiff Rugby at the Stade Ernest-Wallon against a star-studded Toulouse side in the Investec Champions Cup against Toulouse in December 2023.
