Ford played all of his earlier rugby for Senghenydd RFC before former Dragons boss Ceri Jones invited him to play for RGC in the Indigo Premiership.
He has previously played for Dragons U18s, Cross Keys, and Bridgend Ravens.
He has also played rugby league, turning out for Wales age grade and Salford Red Devils Academy.
