Gavin Evans
Gavin Evans is a vital part of the Scarlets’ attacking backline, which was so impressive in the 2006–2007 season. Evans scored seven tries for the Scarlets in this season, having spent the entire 2005–2006 season recovering from reconstructive shoulder surgery.
Evans has previous caps at Wales U19 and U21 levels, and was part of the U21 Grand Slam winning team in 2005. He made his senior debut as a replacement against the Pacific Islands in the second match of the 2006 Invesco Perpetual Series.
Evans missed out on Wales's two-Test tour to Australia due to a shoulder injury but in June was named in Gareth Jenkins's 41-man preliminary Rugby World Cup 2007 summer training squad; unfortunately he missed out on the final cut.
