Adam was an integral member of the triumphant British & Irish Lions side that beat the Wallabies in 2013, adding three more caps to the two he won in South Africa in 2009.
Adam made a try scoring debut for Wales against Scotland in 2004. A true cornerstone of the Welsh pack for the past decade, he played in 19 of the 20 championship winning matches of 2005, 2008, 2012 and 2013, all five of the 2003 RWC matches, two in 2007 and five in 2011.
