Former Scarlets and Ospreys wing Ryan Conbeer has signed for Bridgend to play in Super Rygbi Cymru next season.
The 27-year-old, who won a then record 23 Wales U20 caps during his three seasons with the age grade side, spent two seasons at the Ospreys after they picked him up following his release from the Scarlets in 2024.
He will add extra fire power to the Ravens back division when they kick-off their 2025-26 SRC campaign against Aberavon at the Talbot Athletic Ground on 12 September. He scored 26 tries in 68 games for the Scarlets and three in 11 outings for the Ospreys.
While Conbeer, who was called into the Wakes training camp at the age of 23, has joined Scott Baldwin’s squad at the Brewery Field, the Ravens have lost the services of their Canadian international Barnaby Waddell.
The former Cardiff Met student is heading to Cornwall to join Camborne, who gained promotion to National League 1 last season. Returning to the fold is back row man Iestyn Merriman, who will be looking to add to his 150 appearances for the club.
Prop Callum Donoghue-Proud has also signed up full time after playing on loan from Cardiff last season. Cardiff, meanwhile, have converted centre Jason Harries into a player-coach for the new campaign.
The Blue & Blacks won the SRC League Pennant last season for finishing top before the play-offs and will be hoping for similar success in 2026-27.
