Venues confirmed for Wales’ July Nations Championship fixtures

Fiji will host Wales at Cardiff City stadium on 4 July

The venues for Wales Men’s first three fixtures in the inaugural Nations Championship starting in July 2026 have now been confirmed.

Steve Tandy’s squad face Fiji, Argentina and South Africa on consecutive weekends this summer.

First up Wales play an away fixture against Fiji at Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday 4 July, as Fiji Rugby today announced that they are hosting all three of their home games in the competition in the Northern Hemisphere.

Holding their first home game in Wales will be an historic moment for Fiji Rugby and provides an opportunity for Welsh rugby fans to experience a taste of Fijian culture and heritage on their doorstep, with fan zones that feature traditional Fijian music, food, entertainment and cultural performances.

Tickets for Fiji v Wales go on general sale on Thursday 5 March. Wales supporters are able to get special priority access to tickets before they go on general sale by registering at fijirugby.com

Priority access opens at 09.30h GMT on Tuesday 3 March and closes at 23.5h GMT on Wednesday 4 March.

Following the first-round match, Wales then travel to Argentina to take on Los Pumas at Estadio San Juan del Bicentenario in San Juan on Saturday 11 July.

Wales previously visited San Juan in 2018 for the first of two Tests against Argentina, with back row Aaron Wainwright making his senior international debut at the venue where Wales won 23-10.

For the third and final round of the July Nations Championship window, Wales head from Argentina to South Africa where they will face the Springboks at Hollywoodbets Kings Park in Durban on Saturday 18 July.

Tandy said: “We’re excited for the Nations Championship and the new competition format for our summer and autumn games.

“To start with an away fixture for us at Cardiff City stadium against Fiji is going to be incredible. We know they like a fast, free-flowing game and I’m sure it’ll be an exciting match for fans.

“Then we travel to Argentina and a week later South Africa. Two very tough places to go, but a great opportunity to challenge ourselves and build on our most recent performances against those opposition”.
