Wales Women head coach Sean Lynn has named a 45-player extended Six Nations squad for a two-day camp ahead of the 2026 championship.
The squad will attend a two-day training camp at the Welsh Rugby Union’s National Centre of Excellence at the end of February.
The squad includes three uncapped players with Welsh qualifications based in England, hooker/backrower Kendall Waudby, scrum half Meg Davey and wing/full back Nikita Prothero.
Uncapped players playing in Wales include props Stella Orrin and Elan Jones, centres Kelsie Webster, Savannah Picton-Powell and Jenna De Vera, while wing Seren Singleton and backrowers Jorja Aiono and Anwen Owen are named in the extended training squad.
Twenty-four of the players named have played for Brython Thunder or Gwalia Lightning in the expanded Celtic Challenge this season.
Lynn, said: “These are the 44 players who have impressed on the field for their clubs in the PWR, the Celtic Challenge and the alignment camp we had in January to assess fitness.
“That 55 player camp was to allow the staff to work with senior players in the national squad, the Wales U21s, players who have impressed in the Celtic Challenge and those players who have been identified as players of national interest.
“This camp will be very much rugby focussed with the players selected very much in our minds for the 2026 Guinness Women’s Six Nations campaign.
“The players know they are training and playing for the places in the national squad that will come together at the end of March to prepare for our opening Test match against Scotland at the Principality Stadium on Saturday
“We have made no secret that players need to be playing regular rugby to be selected for the national squad and the fact we have more than 24 players who have played Celtic Challenge rugby demonstrates that.”
