Captain's reveal Wales Women's World Cup kit

The new Wales kit for the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 in England, was launched today

The Welsh Rugby Union is proud to reveal the new Wales kit for the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 in England, at a historic standalone launch to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the National Botanic Garden of Wales.

The new bespoke kit, designed with the Wales squad, was unveiled in front of an invited audience at the iconic venue in Carmarthenshire and has a unique design to celebrate the great Welsh emblem, the Daffodil.

Newly appointed Wales captains, Alex Callender and Kate Williams, attended the launch, along with Welsh internationals Keira Bevan, Georgia Evans, Sisilia Tuipulotu, Molly Reardon and Maisie Davies.

This first standalone kit launch for a Wales Women’s squad was attended by more than 150 pupils from Ysgol Nantgaredig, Ysgol Ffairfach, Ysgol Cwrt Henri and  Ysgol Talyllychau.

The new Macron kit features a unique Celtic design inspired by one of Wales’ national emblems the Daffodil as part of the WRU’s ‘Strength in Bloom’ campaign to back the squad at RWC 2025.

The kit has lilac woven throughout and was designed by WRU designer, Brogan Evans, with input from the Wales squad and will take centre stage at the biggest Women’s Rugby World Cup in history.

Wales will wear the new kit for the first time in their opening RWC 2025 Pool B Game against Scotland at the Salford Community Stadium, Manchester on Saturday, August 23, (KO: 2:45pm)

The ‘Strength in Bloom’ concept represents the Wales squad and the Daffodil and symbolises strength, resilience and new beginnings, the kit went on sale online at the WRU website and the WRU Macron store at 10am on Wednesday.

Wales Women squad members revealed the new kit this morning at the National Botanic Garden of Wales.

“It brings together two national icons of Wales to launch a specifically designed kit for the squad and what will be a ‘generational’ moment for women’s rugby. The ‘Strength in Bloom’ campaign represents the new Wales and the new beginnings under Wales head coach Sean Lynn.

“We are delighted that our partners Macron are as excited as we are at the concept of a unique and bespoke kit to represent Wales on the biggest global stage of a Rugby World Cup in 2025.”
