To celebrate the new season starting in six weeks’ time Cardiff Blues, Dragons, Ospreys and Scarlets have joined forces to co-ordinate the PRO14’s hottest tickets going on sale – in a first for Welsh rugby – with early bird prices guaranteeing fans the best deals at Parc y Scarlets, Rodney Parade, the Liberty Stadium and Cardiff Arms Park.

The season commences in the Welsh capital when reigning champions Leinster pay a visit on Friday 31st August (kick off 7.35pm) and European Challenge Cup winners Cardiff Blues do battle with the PRO14 and Champions Cup double-winners at the Arms Park.

Simultaneously, 45-miles west down the M4, the Ospreys take on Richard Cockerill’s Edinburgh at the Liberty Stadium in Swansea.

The next day, last year’s tournament finalists the Scarlets travel to Belfast to take on Ulster at Southern Kingspan Stadium (5.15pm) – with the west Wales region also hosting PRO14 champions Leinster in round two at Parc y Scarlets the following weekend.

The final Welsh team in action on the opening round of fixtures are the Dragons with the much changed Men of Gwent playing Benetton Rugby at Rodney Parade (7.35pm), also on Saturday 1st September.

The tournament featured 297 international players across 21 rounds of fixtures last season and enjoyed a 10% bump in attendances, with a record number of tries (861), at an average of 5.9 touchdowns per game.

Furthermore, the Guinness PRO14 has been buoyed by the confirmation of new TV broadcast partners, with Premier Sports 1 screening every game of the competition live and in HD into UK homes.

Each week free-to-air digital TV station Free Sports will also broadcast one fixture into UK homes along with S4C, who have extended their commitment to the PRO14 with a new broadcast deal running until at least 2021.

Cardiff Blues supporters can purchase tickets, priced from £16* for each home fixture at Cardiff Arms Park across the first 17 rounds of the competition, at cardiffblues.com now.

Dragons supporters can buy match tickets for each of their opening three home games in September, with prices starting from £13* at dragonsrugby.wales/tickets now.

Fans of the Ospreys can get their hands on tickets for the round one fixture, as last year’s Pro14 Play-off qualifiers Edinburgh Rugby visit the Liberty Stadium, with adult ticket prices starting at £15* at ospreysrugby.com/buytickets

Scarlets supporters can secure a place at Parc y Scarlets for their first home game of the season in round two – a repeat of last year’s PRO14 final against Leinster – with tickets priced from £20* at tickets.scarlets.wales now.
