PREM WEST: Drovers looking to get back to winning ways

Llandovery will be looking to get back to winning ways in the Principality Premiership West Division after losing their unbeaten record at Aberavon last weekend in a 20-19 defeat.

They host Swansea at Church Bank with a side that once again features Wales U20 full back Tomi Lewis. He scored two tries against the Wizards last weekend.

Three more of his team mates on the recent Wales U18 tour to South Africa, half-backs Cai Evans and Harri Morgan along with wing Dylan Moss, continue in the Bridgend back line for their home clash with Neath. Moss scored two tries for the Ravens last weekend in a 30-28 defeat at Carmarthen Quins.

Neath were also beaten last weekend, going down 40-17 to Llanelli at The Gnoll, and will be hoping to give second row Rhys Jones to celebrate on his 100th appearance for the Welsh All Blacks. Acting captain Gavin Evans moves to centre to allow Iwan Evans to take over the No 10 shirt, with Chris Morgans coming in at scrum half and Ben Uphill and Sion Crocker restored to the front row.

“There is no hiding the fact we were well below par last week and we are looking for an altogether more purposeful effort at Bridgend. We showed a bit of what we can do in the second-half, but it was far too late and we need to fire from the start at Bridgend,” warned Neath head coach Gareth Llewellyn.

RGC1404 head coach Mark Jones will be hoping his side can overcome the frustration of drawing against 14 man Swansea last weekend when they host Carmarthen Quins at Parc Eirias. Afon Bagshaw returned for the first time last weekend after recovering from a knee injury, but drops to the bench  this week, while Tiaan Loots comes back into the midfield to partner Tom Roberts.
