Rob Howley’s men were beaten 29-13 by Scotland, a result which means they are out of contention for this year’s title.

But midfield ace Davies says there will be no let-up ahead of the remaining two games with Ireland in Cardiff and France in Paris.

“We’re a very proud bunch of boys – we want to win all of our remaining fixtures,” he said.

“There are two games to go and the focus now turns to Ireland. We need to make sure that we give a better account of ourselves in Cardiff.

“The tournament has been very tough and Ireland have had a good season so far. We know they’re a good team, but we have to have confidence and think we can contest and get the victory.

“We’ll dust ourselves off now for that Ireland game.”

Wales host Joe Schmidt’s Ireland – who are still in with a shout of the championship – at Principality Stadium next Friday in front of a capacity Cardiff crowd.

They then travel to the French capital for their final game of the 2017 tournament against Les Bleus.

“We are in this together. We win together, we lose together and we will pick ourselves,” said Wales scrum-half Rhys Webb.

“We have got two games left and I am sure we will finish strong. We’re looking forward to them.

“We will look back on the game with Scotland, be harsh on ourselves, and look at the areas we need to improve.

“The main thing is playing for the full 80 minutes. Against England, we played for 65 minutes, and against Scotland we felt we just played for 40 minutes.

“We had our chances in the second half, but didn’t capitalise on them. It was a very disappointing day at the office. It’s a week off, so it’s time to look back over the game and then we will look forward to Ireland.”
