The WRU General Manager of RGC joined local school on the summit of Snowdon for the arrival of the Webb Ellis Cup, which will spend ten days travelling the length and breadth of Wales ahead of the 2015 Tournament.
As well as providing a celebration kick at the top, the North Wales rugby manager posed for photos with the Cup and also managed to keep the fans up to date on Twitter, tweeting:

The trophy is currently on display to members of the public at Snowdon Mountain Railway in Llanberis. Fans in North Wales can also head to Parc Eirias festival of Women and Girls rugby on Friday evening and an open event at Mold RFC on Saturday morning (June 27).
Moon said: “What a fantastic morning it’s been for everyone involved in the arrival of the Rugby World Cup Trophy Tour on Snowdon. Despite the damp weather, there’s been so much excitement and the weather did eventually clear when I kicked the ball from the top!
“It’s fantastic to see the local school children enjoying the occasion, having their photos with the Cup and getting excited for what is an exciting Tournament for Wales, Welsh rugby and the Millennium Stadium, with eight matches coming to Cardiff.
“There’s so much more on offer for the fans as the Cup travels Wales over the next ten days. We want to see more rugby fans join us this evening at Parc Eirias and across the range of events all over Wales.”
Also this week the Trophy will head to Mid Wales where Newtown RFC will be hosting a family fun day on Saturday from 2.30pm.
Glynneath RFC President and Welsh legend Max Boyce will be pulling out all the stops in preparation for a special Trophy Tour event that evening, 7-9pm.
Also among the rugby hosts, South Gower RFC will be gearing up for ‘A Little Taste of Touch’ – a series of touch rugby taster sessions for minis, juniors, youths, mums and dads, followed by a BBQ and refreshments on Sunday (June 28), 11am-1pm.
St David’s College Lampeter is in on the action, inviting local primary schools to take part in a tag rugby tournament on Monday (June 29).
Public access is also encouraged in Cardiff, a host city for Rugby World Cup 2015. The trophy will be on display at Tafwyl festival in Cardiff Castle on Saturday (July 4) and Cardiff City Rugby Festival on Sunday (July 5), both from 11am.
The WRU has been working with organisers England Rugby 2015 to celebrate all elements of the game in Wales including clubs, schools and festivals. The trophy will also visit various private events at dedicated RWC 2015 Team Bases and visitor attractions across Wales.
