Despite losing at unbeaten Carmarthen last weekend, the Wizards last lost at home in January when Munster A won 18-14 in the British & Irish Cup. In the Premiership, Aberavon have not lost at home this year.

While the Wizards are in fine form, Cardiff comfortably disposed of Bedwas at the Bridge Field last weekend. After the game, head coach Martyn Fowler said: “We worked hard on our failings during the week and the introduction of full-back Dan Fish and No. 8 Luke Hamilton provided us with a victory platform.

“It was a performance that gave a hint of better things to come and it was pleasing the Blues duo of Peter Thomas and Richard Holland witnessed it.”

Cardiff again have Fish and Hamilton available this week though the former moves to the left wing this time around. Tom Williams wears the number 15 shirt with Ellis Jenkins returning in the pack.

Head-to-head, Aberavon and Cardiff have met each other 26 times in the league with the Wizards narrowly leading the series by 13 wins to 12.
