The Women’s Management Group have taken steps to increase participation this season by restructuring the cup format. The clubs were tiered into six pools before the knock out stages. This gave clubs an even playing field and a chance to play competitive matches through the later part of the season.

This will all come to a climax at the Finals day where the Cup, Plate, Bowl, Shield, Trophy and Vase will be played for all on the same day at the same venue.

The day will be opened with a West Wales U18 girls’ side taking on one from East Wales.

The Vase Final will see Nanyffyllon taking on Colwyn Bay. Both teams are newly formed, playing in their first competition and have shown signs of great potential.

Sea View advanced to the Trophy Final after an impressive semi final win over Lampeter, where they will face Pool E winners Maesteg Celtic.

Blackwood will have to wait another week to find out their opponents in the Shield final as the semi final between Gorseinon and Blaenau Gwent was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. The match has been rearranged for this Sunday.

Barry and Gwernyfed will face off in the Bowl final after overcoming two difficult Semi Finals. Gwernyfed advanced after beating Division 3 winners Penallta and Barry overcome the challenge of Division 2 winners Croesyceiliog.

The Plate final will be a replay of the 2011 final where Seven Sisters and Caernarfon will meet again. Although, Division 1 Winners, Seven were victors in their 2 previous league encounters, the Cofi’s are no push over and will bright their A game to the final.
