RGC1404 were dominant in their home defeat of Gilfach Goch, with a pick of the tries coming from Iolo Ap Evans, Andrew Williams and Rhodri Carlton Jones.

Penallta have cemented their position in third place after scrum half Andrew John and full back Aron Humphries crossed twice in the Pitmen’s 47-5 drubbing of visitors Ynysybwl, while Mountain Ash fought for their first league win since January as they battled to win 28-22 against Merthyr.
The top two in Division 2 East also kept up the pace in the race to be crowned champions. Bedlinog put eight tries past Tylorstown in a 50-0 rout, while a determined Rhiwbina finished off Abercynon 63-6.
Congratulations are in order in Division 3 East as Abertillery B G secured the title thanks to a rampant 42-5 defeat of Pontypool United. The side have lost just once in the league this season and needed only two points this weekend to gain successful promotion to Division 2.
