The winger was cited and found guilty of tackling Leigh Halfpenny in the air during last weekend’s second Test defeat in Melbourne.

Vuna was cited under Law 10.4(e) “Dangerous Tackling”, and 10.4(i) “Tackling the jumper in the air”, following an incident in the 60th minute of Saturday clash.

His hearing was held in Sydney, when Judicial Officer Bruce Squire QC concluded there were significant and compelling mitigating factors, including a lack of intent on Vuna’s behalf, which did not warrant a suspension being imposed for the offence.

Meanwhile Kurtley Beale could return to action for the Wallabies. The star full-back has been struggling with a shoulder injury and is currently facing an assault charge. But the Melbourne Rebels man is poised to return, with Adam Ashley Cooper moving closer to the action.

Beale was been charged with assault following an ‘altercation’ at a Brisbane hotel before the first Test with Wales.

The Australian Rugby Union has allowed Beale to play despite the pending case and put its disciplinary process on hold until the court matter has been resolved.

“Kurtley’s a world-class player, so if he’s fit and ready to go, clearly he’ll have a jersey on,” said Australia head coach Robbie Deans.

“We’ll just have to make the decision whether it’s a starting role or as a replacement. He started some contact work at the end of last week and that will be escalated early this week. If he gets through that graduation, he’ll be good to go.”
