Wanderers line up Cross Keys in sights

This week the Wanderers take on Cross Keys in a rearranged game and coach Richard Hodges is wary of the Gwent outfit.

“After the euphoria of last weeks win against Neath its back to the bread and butter of the league programme. We set the bar very high last Saturday and we cannot afford to let it slip against a dangerous opponent this week”

Cross Keys are unbeaten since our win at Pandy Park and with possibly one of the strongest ball carrying packs in the league we will need to be at our very best in defence again.

The Wanderers are on a real high, a Boxing Day win at the Arms Park and the second historic win at the Gnoll last week has set the Wanderers up for the second half of the season. Scott Sneddon maintains his prolific points scoring and young Dan Fish keeps grabbing man of the match awards in his first season.

From the side that beat Neath Hodges makes 4 changes to the pack. Scott Andrews returns as captain and Alex Luff, Mazin  Al-Azzawi and Lee Highgate all come off the bench to start with John Barley and Ben Rose dropping to the bench.

The backs remain the same and the squad welcomes new prop Ken Knaggs to the 22 for the first time.
