Hooker Ryan Cheshire scored a hat-trick as Aberdare claimed only their second win of the season with a 35-15 thrashing of Llandaff North.Â
Tries from Paul Rees and Stuart Ornek handed leaders Llandaff a 12-5 win over second-place Nantyglo, putting the away side in a dominant position at the top of Division Four East.Â
Meanwhile Brynithel picked up only their second win of the campaign, beating St Josephs 13-6 courtesy of a Sion Pita try.Â
Pentyrch cut the gap between themselves and Division Four South East leaders Heol y Cyw to just one point with a 13-10 win over their rivals. The league now looks like a two horse race after third-place Abercwmboi lost 10-6 away at Tonyrefail.Â
Division Five East leaders Abercarn lost for the first time this season, going down 18-15 to strugglers Llanhilleth thanks to two tries from Alex Davies.Â
That result gives second-place Talywain a ray of hope after they won 28-18 away at Usk. Barry remain top of Division Five South East after playing out a thrilling 17-17 draw against nearest rivals Cilfynydd.
