The 38-man squad broke from training in groups on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday this week to see the world-class £23m stadium first-hand.
On Monday they were accompanied by head coach Nigel Davies and forwards coach Paul Moriarty for a complete walk round of the new stadium complex.
Davies said he was ‘hugely impressed’ with the scale and scope of the facilities that the team will have in the new season.
He said:Â “Quite honestly, seeing it for real has blown a few people away. I have traveled widely and seen many stadia around the world but the training and playing environment we will have here at Parc y Scarlets is second to none. These truly are world-class facilities.
“I was hugely impressed as were the players. The main stadium is looking fantastic, however it was equally important to show the squad the facilities that go with it – everything from the training pitches to the players’ lounges, the gym and conditioning areas.
“The quality and investment being made in our training environment matches our ambitions for the future – to be at the top of our game. It’s given us even more motivation.”  Â
The team were shown the main stadium and its newly sown pitch which is already taking shape after just a week – plus the Scarlets’ training accommodation including the large indoor sports barn, office suites, conditioning area, video analysis room, players lounges, gym and the training pitch which has the same surface as the main pitch at the Liberty stadium.
The new facilities will also hugely benefit the community as the sports barn, associated changing rooms, athletics track, car parking and access will be open for public use including by local amateur and community based rugby sides.Â
