Players from the squad including Michael Owen, Gareth Wyatt, Kevin Morgan and Jamie Corsi visited Abertillery Park to deliver rugby skills and drills to primary schools in the Blaenau Gwent.

The schools that attended were Queen Street Primary, Ystruth Primary, Roseheyworth Primary, St Illtyds Primary, Abertillery Primary, Blaenycwm Primary and St Marys Church in Wales.

Development days have previously been held at Tredegar, Ebbw Vale, Brynmawr and Nantyglo, with support from the feeder primary schools within these areas.

Also helping the Dragons were pupils from Abertillery Comprehensive School who are currently undertaking their JSLA (Junior Sports Leader Awards) via the Blaenau Gwent 5 X 60 scheme.

If you would like any further information about rugby development in the area, please contact the Blaenau Gwent Council and WRU Rugby Development Officer, Gareth Gunter, on 01495 355324.
