Captain Scott Davies led the way for the visitors with the opening score while Keeping’s double and a further effort from scrum half Meirion Thomas secured the bonus point for the Old Firm club.

They could not close the gap on Penallta though who recorded a convincing 44-15 bonus point victory of their own at lowly Pill Harriers.

The leaders went over for seven tries in the rout with scores from Matthew Tucker, Devlin Morgan and Karl Rees being followed up by further efforts from Kieron Mahoney, Sean Powell, Steve Richards and Andrew Jenkins.

Abercynon lost ground in the title race after going down 19-16 at Treherbert while Newport HSOB shared eight tries with Rhydyfelin only to lose out 28-22. Fullback David Grattan was the difference between the sides as he kicked two penalties and a conversion to add to an earlier try, giving him a match haul of 13 points.

In Division Three East, Senghenydd recorded their first win of the season as replacement outside half Robert Anderson notched a penalty with the last kick of the game to beat Pontypool United 8-6. Man-of-the-match prop forward Robert Channon also scored a try.

It was wins all round at the top as Abergavenny, Gardiffaith and Brynmawr overpowered Rhymney, Croesyceiliog and Nelson respectively.

Tom McPherson and Stuart Davies both crossed for braces in Abergavenny’s 41-10 hammering of Rhymney and Brynmawr had little problem collecting the full five points in their 34-10 triumph over Nelson. Garndiffaith found life a lot tougher in their tie with Croesy, however, and it was outside half Darren Pearce who eventually saw his side home with a try, two conversions and two drop goals in a 25-17 win.

Gwernyfed look destined to take the Division Four East title as Danny Skyrme slotted a penalty with the last kick of the game to edge past second placed Abertillery 16-15. After leading 13-10 at the interval, the visitors found themselves 15-13 behind with seconds remaining but when Skyrme got his chance he made no mistake in a win that puts his side 12 points clear at the top.

Elsewhere on a day of tight encounters, Brynithel pipped Monmouth 11-10, Nantyglo beat Risca 17-16 and Rhiwbina denied Talywain a rare win as they came through 12-10.
