Having recorded derby wins over Aberavon and Swansea in the festive period to reclaim the Premiership top spot, Neath are faced with another old rival on the first weekend of 2008 as Llanelli come to the Gnoll.

When the teams met back in September it was the Welsh All Blacks who shaded a tight affair 17-10 and despite Neath’s standing in the table, it is fair to say both sides have had mixed seasons since that day and all will be to play for.

In the chasing pack, Ebbw Vale welcome Maesteg to Eugene Cross Park with whom they shared a 13-13 draw earlier in the season, Cardiff go to Aberavon looking to continue their excellent form of late and Glamorgan Wanderers will be out to avenge their 21-20 defeat to Cross Keys in this season’s corresponding fixture, when they go to Pandy Park.

In other ties Bridgend travel to Rodney Parade to face Newport with their tails up after recording successive victories for the first time this season, while Bedwas, themselves fresh from victory over Newport, go to Llandovery.

In the weekend’s final game Pontypridd will be out to make the most of the two games they have in hand over the leaders when they travel to St Helen’s to face a Swansea side without a win in their last three games.
