“It is an honour for us to be the first Welsh region to host such a fixture and the fact that there will not be an empty seat illustrates the potential support base available to Ospreys Rugby,” said Jones.
“Although our crowds continue to grow it is our responsibility as coaches and players to regularly produce the type of displays that gets a larger proportion of these supporters coming to the stadium on a regular basis.”
Jones knows that this match will be as competitive as any regional encounter: “We will be up against players with World Cup places to play for so there will be no shortage of motivation on either side. Having said that, we do not want to concentrate on them too much as coaches and we have focussed on getting the very best from the players that have been selected.
“We have great faith in this group of players. They formed the basis of the performance against Bath where they fronted up to an extremely physical challenge and they will appreciate the responsibility of facing a touring side in front of a sell-out Liberty Stadium.”
