CELTIC LEAGUE RETURNS

The pick of weekend games is certainly Friday evening’s meeting between leaders Munster and second placed Ulster at an all ticket Ravenhill. Munster will be looking to bounce back from their defeat by Glasgow Warriors last time out, but will face an Ulster outfit who have won their last three games, and have already won against Munster this season. A home win would see Ulster move above Munster and into top place.

There are two other local derbies on Friday night with the Ospreys travelling to the Blues and Glasgow at home to the Borders. Only two points separate the Blues and the Ospreys at the bottom end of the table and the visitors will fancy their chances to pass the Blues in the table, as the capital side are now on a five game losing sequence. Glasgow and the Borders are only a point apart in the table and the Warriors will be hoping to build on their victory over Munster and move above the Borders side.

The weekend’s final game sees third placed Leinster at home to basement side Connacht. Should the Dubliners score their fourth consecutive victory over their western neighbours and Ulster lose to Munster Leinster will end the weekend in second place.
