The result was not not enough to lift Mumbles off the foot of the division but they are now level with Seven Sisters in the fight to avoid relegation. Meanwhile, the defeat was the second in a row for Corus who are facing an untimely Christmas slump. The result was good news for league leaders Dunvant, who now have a six-point lead at the top of the table after seeing off third-placed Lougher in an entertaining game. Dunvant ran in six tries to win 43-27.

Trimsaran allowed league rivals Penclawdd to move five points clear in Division Three West after losing 22-10 at home to Haverfordwest. Leaders Penclawdd won 21-12 at Amman United who fall two places to 11th.
