They beat them by 76-12 and finding that Penclawdd had fallen 19-15 at home to Gorseinon, though both of those clubs have a chance of a promotion spot. Llandelio’s late charge at the other end of the table continued as they defeated Lampeter 25-21.

Bargoed remain unbeaten in the East after turning back Rhymney 26-7 and have two games to play, but the battle for second turned towards Pill Harriers as they won 42-11 at Abercarn and Abergavenny crashed 14-8 at Llanishen.


Rhydyfelin’s quest for the South-East title was boosted by a hard-earned 17-15 win over Ynysybwl and the news that Mountain Ash had fallen by 23-16 at Tonyrefail. Another four points from four games would give it to Rhydyfelin, though Ruthin have had a marvellous season and are in third after crushing Penygraig 102-3.


Maesteg Quins should take the South-West crown on Tuesday at home to Alltwen after a 29-17 win at Brynamman. Seven Sisters meet the Quins on Saturday, but one point from two games will give them runners-up spot after beating third-placed Aberavon Quins 32-7.


DIVISION 4
With the Cefneithin-Laugharne game called off, there was no rugby in the West and only two games were played in the East with Tredegar Ironsides holding off a determined Ynysddu by 22-15 to have one last gasp at the title, as leaders Pontllanfraith require one point to hold on.


There were five matches in the South-East and in them, Fairwater beat Rhigos 47-0 in their final fixture with Aberdare three points adrift after a 20-0 win over Cowbridge.


In the South-West Tonna finished as champions by four points over Resolven and signed off by defeating Briton Ferry 37-10. Champions Llangefni hammered Colwyn Bay 41-0 in the North and though Mold finished with a 38-29 win at Denbigh, Llangefni are four points clear with one match to play. While Rhyl are clear bottom, there is a fight for the penultimate spot between Llandudno, Dolgellau and Denbigh with Dolgellau gaining ground after beating Llandudno 19-10.


DIVISION 5
Garndiffaith took second place in the East and are promoted after they held off Blaenavon 25-7, while the West fight between Pembroke and New Dock Stars continued after Pembroke thrashed Furnace 79-17 and New Dock Stars won 29-0 at St Clears.


Penallta and Cilfynydd are battling for the South-East crown after Penallta dismissed Cefn Coed 46-0 and Cilfynydd won 31-0 at Ogmore Vale and the South-West saga continued with Birchgrove having their match called off at Baglan. Abercrave lead, but have finished their fixtures, yet are promoted as Birchgrove and Glyncorrwg have to meet and though either could be champions, only one of them will be promoted.


Only three matches remain in the North after wins for Welshpool and Machynlleth, but the promotion places go to champions Bala and runners-up Bethesda.
