LLOYDS TSB LEAGUES PREVIEWS (DIVISIONS 3-5)

Division Three.

Top match in the East will be on the War Memorial Park at Rhymney, where the second-placed Brewers will be in action against unbeaten leaders Bargoed, with several players involved having appeared for both clubs.

Another important match will be at Bailey Park, where the home side take on the lively North Cardiff-based Llanishen club. There may be no change in the West after Gorseinon’s home match against Penclawdd and Loughor’s trip to Cardigan and in the South-East, the top pairing of Mountain Ash and Rhydyfelin hope to stay ahead after games against Tonyrefail and Ynysybwl respectively. Ruthin make the journey to Penygraig and the Gilfach Goch-Barry game is an other interesting meeting.

The South-West could remain the same with Brynoch away to Glynneath and both Maesteg Quins and Vardre at home.

Division Four.
Only two of the clubs in the five areas of this division are unbeaten and they are both in the South-East and unlikely to meet until March. This week, Aberdare will face third-placed Penarth, while Fairwater travel just down the road to take on Llandaff at Bishops Field.

Five clubs trail leaders Monmouth by just three points in the East and they face one the five when they visit Kay Field in Crumlin.  The other big clash is at Pontllanfraith, where Chepstow provide the opposition. In the West, leaders Amman United entertain Milford Haven at Cwmamman Park, needing to stay ahead of Neyland and Cefneithin, while action in the North will see leaders Colwyn Bay severely tested at in-form Nant Conwy while Llangefni take on Llandudno at Caer Smyrna.

The South-West hotted up with Tonna’s win at Resolven, but the latter start favourites at Taibach as Tonna meet Trebanos on Mount Pleasant.

Division Five.
East leaders Nantyglo take their unbeaten record down to Cardiff’s Tremorfa Park as they take on St Alban’s, who are in second spot just three points adrift.  In the South-East, the most interesting match is a basement battle between Old Penarthians and Canton at Cwrt y Vil, while leaders South Wales Police  travel to Ferndale.

Pembroke take their nine-match unbeaten record to Furnace in the West, though Llangwm could well slip up at Aberaeron, while in the South-West  there are four clubs on 24 points, of which two of them meet when Birchgrove take on Abercrave at Parc Bedw.

Action in the North features leaders Bala facing Wrexham and nearest challengers Bethesda meeting Welshpool at Dol Dafydd.
