Cockbain Expects Strong Regional Showing

Wales lock Brent Cockbain says he expects Welsh regional rugby to be stonger than ever this year.

The former Warrior has joined up with the Neath Swansea-Ospreys for a pre-season training clinic in Maestag, and is looking forward to a competitive season.

‘The four regions that are there now are much stronger and have much more depth,’ he said.

‘We’ll be more competitive this season in Europe and the Celtic League.’

Cockbain is one of four former Warriors to join Lyn Jones’ Neath-Swansea side, with Sonny Parker, Ryan Jones and David Bishop the others.

‘It was disappointing the way it happened with the Warriors, but I think it probably did need to happen and we just have to get on with it as players,’ Cockbain added.
