West continued to pressure Central and crossed the line twice, only to be denied the score by some brilliant Central defence. The game ran from one end to the other with both sides giving no quarter, but at the final whistle it was Central who came away with the win. It was a fantastic display of girls’ rugby and it is proof that the game is developing at a tremendous rate. The level of commitment and skill level from both sides was very impressive.
Three On The Trot For Central U16s
Central continued their winning run with a 5-0 victory over the West this Sunday (25th January). It was the third win in a row for the girls from Central. With the Central forwards securing the ball on the West 10 meter line, they provided the back division with quick ball. Excellent handling skills from the back line provided winger Cassie Lyons (Llandaff North) with the opportunity to cross the West line for the only score of the day.
