Cardiff jumped a further two places up the table as they pulled ff one of their best wins of the season by defeating Carmarthen Quins 35-7 at the Arms Park in a rearranged match.

Wing Johnny Vaughton went over the Quins line on five occasions, though one was ruled out for a forward pass, and other tries for Cardiff came from skipper Owen Ruttley and Elgan Jones with young scrum half Wayne Evans crossing for the Quins.
