With only one match played in the East, attention was in the West as Pontyberem drew level on 33 points with Kidwelly and Hverfordwest after a 20-7 win over Tenby United.

Gilfach Goch’s 35-12 win at Barry on the Reservoir Field puts them level with Treherbert on 27 points in the South-East and Nantymoel joined them after a 16-11 win at Pentyrch.

Banwen still head the South-West after a sound 33-15 win over Kenfig Hill, scoring 17 points without reply after playing with the wind in the second half.

Maesteg Quins stay second after a 20-3 win over Trebanos.

Division Four.

Bargoed and Blaina retained first and second spots respectively in the East after good victories, while Monmouth jumped to fourth spot after a 30-5 win at Ynysddu.

Loughor recorded their tenth successive win in the West with a good 21-0 result at Laugharne and they join Llanelli Wanderers on 30 points.

In the South-East, Abercwmboi retained the lead after a good 15-9 win at Pontyclun and Fairwater kept up the chase by winning 15-5 at Dowlais.

Ruthin scored three tries, one from former Wales Youth cap Jim Salisbury, in a 18-3 win at Pwllheli in the North. They still hold off Nant Conwy, who just defeated Llangefni 13-12.

Only one match was played in the South-West, where third-placed Cwmgors won 19-8 away to bottom club Maesteg Celtic.

Division Five.

Only two matches played in the East, where Garndiffaith produced a shock win over Machen and only one played in the North as Bangor surprised Bethesda by 21-14.

Cefneithin hold a six-point lead in the West where only one match was played and the top-of-the-table encounter between Resolven and Aberavon Green Stars in the South-West was called off.

Most action came in the South-East where Llandaff hold a five-point lead after a win by 43-8 at Ogmore Vale and there were wins also for Llandaff North and Llantwit Major.
