More Tesco Tickets

Following the success of the innovative move to sell tickets for Wales’ pre-World Cup matches at numerous Tesco stores across south and mid Wales, the scheme has now been taken up by Mold RFC and Broughton Tesco.

From 5pm on Friday 15 August, Mold RFC will be manning the sale of tickets for Wales v Romania at The Racecourse Ground, Wrexham on Wednesday August 27, kick-off 7.05pm.

Richard Jones, chairman of Mold RFC said, “This is a fantastic idea and at Mold RFC we are thrilled to be helping in this way. Parents of our under 16s side are helping to sell the tickets at Broughton Tesco, along with members of our Ladies’ team. If the idea goes down well, hopefully other stores will want to get involved in the scheme.”

Fans in the Broughton area will also be able to apply for tickets for Wales’ two other forthcoming Tests at their local Tesco, against England (August 23) and Scotland (August 30), both at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff, kick-off 2.30pm.

Ticket prices for Wales v Romania start at £2 for under 16s and £10 for adults. Family
tickets are available from £12 for 1 adult and 1 junior or £14 for 1 adult and
2 children.

There is also an additional ticket hotline, 0161 3853214 alongside the existing line into the Millennium Stadium, 08705 582 582, which also offers tickets to the UEFA Cup first round, second leg tie between Manchester City and Mid Wales club TNS. Tickets can also be bought online at www.wru.co.uk or from the Millennium Stadium ticket office at 98 St Mary Street, Cardiff.
