Inverness will not miss out on international rugby in March, despite Wales’ decision to withdraw their A side from the Six Nations tournament.

The Scotland A v Wales A match was scheduled to be played at the Caledonian Stadium, Inverness, on Friday, 7 March, and SRU Director of Rugby Jim Telfer said: “We believe it is important that people in the North of Scotland have the opportunity to watch international rugby on their doorstep.

“We have switched the Scotland under-21 international against Wales under-21 from the Countesswells ground in Aberdeen to the Caledonian Stadium.

“Our under-21 international against Italy will still be played at Countesswells on Friday, 28 March.”
