Pontypool playmaker Matthew Jarvis continues to lead the way in the Indigo Premiership, but there are plenty of other sharp shooters who are now breathing down his neck as the campaign gathers pace.

Young Cardiff fly half Harrison James has quietly gone about his business this season in an understated way. James guided Cardiff to a hard earned victory against Bridgend last weekend where along with his try, he converted two tries and added two penalties to ensure the Blue & Blacks came away with a 37-32 victory to jump from fourth inthe pecking order to second place with 69 points, just eight points behind Jarvis.

Pontypridd’s Josh Phillips (64) and Bridgend’s Luke Price (51) have now gone through the half century barrier while in the try scoring charts there is a surprise appearance.

Newport speedster Lloyd Lewis has been near the forefront since the beginning of the season and he leads the way with five league tries. Teams have often feared taking on Ebbw Vale up front due to their hard nosed passion and hooker Rhys Francis is raising eye brows with his performances. He has powered over the try-line five times already this season to sit alongside Lewis as the leading try scorer in the league so far.
