Scarlets well beaten in Cork.

There was no joy for the Scarlets at the home of the defending RaboDirectPRO12 champions Munster as they could only manage four penalties against four tries in a 35-12 reverse.

Coming hot on the heels of their defeat against Connacht in Ireland the previous weekend it rounded off a disappointing week for Nigel Davies and his squad, while Munster were celebrating extending their record run of league wins to 13.

A try from former All Black wing Dough Howlett and a Penalty Try gave the home side a 20-9 interval lead at Musgrave Park and they added two more tries after the break. All the Scarlets’ points came via the boot with Dan Newton landing three penalties and Dale Ford another.
