Centres Jonathan Davies and man of the match Regan King were constant threats throughout while the Scarlets fast paced approach simply ensured Connacht were left chasing shadows.
Connacht were already down 31-3 at the break having looked a shadow of the team which recently defeated Leinster.
Prop Rhys Thomas got the show on the road when he dived over in the corner after good work by hooker Matthew Rees.
Industrious flanker Rob McCusker, Davies and Thomas touched down to earn the Scarlets a bonus point by halftime.
King then got in on the act to kick start the second half onslaught before his midfield partner Davies raced over for his second.
Flanker Josh Turnbull crossed the line for the Scarlets’ seventh try after receiving a one handed pass by second row Lou Reed.
King then showed his class again to score his second with wing Sean Lamont putting Connacht out of their misery with the Scarlets ninth try of the match.
