The week after they had taken the spoils at the Arms Park against Caridff Blues, the Warriors returned to Wales to pick up a further five points to overtake similarly unbeaten Connacht at the top of the table.
Â
The visitors were 13-3 to the good by the break after Alex Dunbar crossed for an early try which Duncan Weir converted. The outside half also kicked a penalty along with Stuart Hogg.
The only points the Dragons could muster in the first half was a single penalty from Angus O’Brien.
Â
It didn’t help the home cause when prop Lloyd Fairbrogher was sent to the sin-bin just before the break, but the home side’s hopes were given a boost less than a minute into the second half when Warriors’ flanker Tyrone Holmes was sent off for foul play.
Â
O’Brien and Weir swapped penalties, but the Scottish side, who were runners-up in last season’s competition, re-established their advantage when No 8 Josh Strauss crossed for a second try midway through the second half.
Â
The home response came via a try from former Wales scrum half Richie Rees, but the Warriors finished with a flourish by running in two late tries from Tommy Seymour and Tim Swinson bagged the bonus point.
Dragons beaten again
The Dragons are still waiting for their first win of the season in the Guinness PRO12 after they were beaten 33-13 at Rodney Parade by table-topping Glasgow Warriors.
