The Ospreys’ continued dominance over the Blues has seen them hard rise to fourth on the points table.
The home side scored the only try of the first half through Kristian Dacey but the Ospreys still went into the break leading thanks to Biggar’s boot.
The Blues were unable to use the demanding weather conditions to their advantage in the second half with the Ospreys edging a tight encounter when flanker Justin Tipuric touched down from close range. Biggar landed a brilliant touchline conversion and despite Leigh Halfpenny’s best efforts with his boot, the Blues couldn’t claw back the lead and ran out of time.
Blues boss Phil Davies was left frustrated his side’s effort didn’t the result they were seeking.
“It was all about fine margins in that game. We were quite exciting at times and the performance was good at times, but we were also frustrating and a few errors cost us,” he said.
“We didn’t get the momentum at times, but the overall effort and performance of the players was good. We tried to play a lot of rugby, as did the Ospreys, and it was an open game.”
