Speedsters Tonderai Chavhanga and Adam Hughes both return for Newport Gwent Dragons’ clash with Connacht on Saturday.

The Dragons visit the Sportsground as they look to bounce back from defeats to the Ospreys and Cardiff Blues over Christmas.

Despite two derby defeats, the Dragons produced some good rugby and should have arguably beaten the Blues on Boxing Day. Captain Lewis Evans has impressed many with his recent performances and he again leads the side.

The forwards as a whole are rewarded for their impressive recent performances and retain their places from the game with the Ospreys. This means Lewis partners Welsh international Toby Faletau and Nic Cudd in the back row.

Wayne Evans starts at scrum half with Chavhanga and Hughes providing the firepower behind the scrum. They are joined by wing Tom Prydie who is the leading points scorer in the RaboPRO12 so far this season with 100 points, well clear of Munster’s Ian Keatley in second place.

Jonathan Evans will be joined on the bench by centre Ashley Smith.
