With just three rounds of the regular Super Rygbi Cymru season remaining, and teams jostling for the knock-out spots, Billy McBryde and Lewis Morgan have edged to the top of the points scoring and try scoring charts respectively.
Both players have been there or thereabouts all season in their respective categories and have proven consistent performers for RGC and Camarthen Quins all campaign.
McBryde has collected 159 points to lead the way with Pontypool fly half Kieran Meek his closest challenger wtih 148 points. In third place is Ebbw Vale’s Evan Lloyd with 147 points with Swansea’s Josh Phillips the most recent player to smash through the century barrier with 110 points. He boasts the best kicking success rate with 78% while Aberavon’s Ed Dunford is most likely to be the next player to reach three figures, as he currently sits on 96 league points.
Morgan has crossed the whitewash on 13 occasions this league campaign to lead the try scoring charts but he will be aware Cardiff try scoring machine Dewi Cross is breathing down his neck with 11 tries, along with another hooker, Ebbw Vale’s Joe Franchi, also just two behind.
